Outdoor enclosures on the bus rapid transit line
Several ZPAS SZD-series outdoor enclosures, installed in a row on the Metromare in Rimini – the electric bus rapid transit line between Rimini and Riccione, which runs on its own route alongside the railway.

The task
The Metromare links Rimini and Riccione: an electric bus rapid transit line (trolleybus) on its own route of around 10 km, much of which runs right alongside the railway.
Along the route, equipment is needed outdoors – right next to busway, stops and overhead line. Instead of a single large enclosure, several cabinets stand side by side.
The solution
Several SZD-series outdoor enclosures form a continuous row along the route. The photos were taken shortly after the line opened:
- next to the busway, with stop canopy, traffic light and overhead line behind
- at the concrete safety barrier with railing, view along the doors
- on a paved surface
- along a railing, with a warning sign on the door
The SZD series is a double-walled aluminium outdoor enclosure, baying-capable, in IP 54 (IP 55 on request) with IK10 impact resistance.
