The DSR IT is the ZPAS colocation server rack: a 19″ floor-standing rack divided by partition floors into 2 or 4 autonomous compartments — each with its own mounting rails, its own cable ducts and its own key. Usable 40–46 U (frame 1963/2186 mm), 600/800 × 1000/1200 mm, perforated doors, IP 20 according to EN 60529, from the manufacturer.

In colocation data centres, several customers share the infrastructure — but nobody may access anyone else’s equipment. The DSR IT solves this mechanically rather than organisationally: horizontal partition floors divide the rack into autonomous compartments. Each compartment has its own 19″ mounting rails at the front and rear (STANDARD type, depth-adjustable, with U markings), independent cable ducts along the left and right sides of the rack and a perforated door with its own key. Cable entry is either from below or from above — cable openings in the floor and roof plates are closed with knock-out blanks.

Standard equipment from the factory
Plinths, type 300 castors, equipment shelves and cable management: the complete 19″ accessories range also fits the DSR IT — each component with series assignment and catalogue page reference.
From colocation rack to contained row
DSR IT racks can be bayed and, like the Z-SERVER, contained as a Data Box: roofs, sliding doors and seals turn the row of racks into a closed cold or hot aisle — tenant separation and cooling efficiency in one. Complete concepts with containment, cooling and monitoring: data centre & server room solutions. The cooling capacity calculator quantifies the cooling load per compartment according to IEC 60890.
Material & finish
Rack frame, side panels, partition floors, doors, mounting rails and cable trays made of sheet steel, powder-coated in RAL 7035 (light grey) or RAL 9005 (black); brackets of the 800 mm width made of zamak die-cast. Degree of protection IP 20 according to EN 60529.
Frequently asked questions — DSR IT
How does the compartment separation work?
Partition floors divide the rack into 2 or 4 autonomous compartments. Each has its own 19″ mounting rails at the front and rear, independent cable ducts on the left/right and a perforated door with its own key — tenants can only reach their own equipment.
Which sizes and compartment layouts are available?
Frame 1,963 mm: usable 40 U (2 × 20 or 4 × 10 U). Frame 2,186 mm: usable 46 U (2 × 23) or 44 U (4 × 11) — the partition floors take up some usable height. Widths 600/800 mm, depths 1000/1200 mm, all combinations available.
Who is the DSR IT intended for?
For colocation data centres and operators who rent out one rack to several tenants or need to physically separate customer segments — from the regional colo provider to the campus network with separate departments.
Can the DSR IT be contained?
Yes — DSR IT rows can be built as a Data Box (cold aisle/hot aisle containment). The racks are bayable and stand either on levelling feet or directly on the floor.
