The compact sheet-steel wall-mounted enclosure: 20 standard sizes from 300 × 200 to 1000 × 800 mm, welded body with drip channel, galvanised mounting plate — as standard, as the 19″ variant SWN IT or in stainless steel as SWN Inox. UL-certified, direct from the factory.

Where there is no room for a floor-standing enclosure, the SWN takes over: a compact sheet-steel wall-mounted enclosure with IP 65 to EN 60529 — dust-tight and protected against water jets. It houses distribution, control and instrumentation equipment in workshops, buildings and production; as part of the electrical enclosure range it comes ready for installation from the factory. Indoor use is standard — for outdoors there is the weather-resistant paint finish or the stainless steel variant.
Design, variants & accessories
Welded body with drip channel
The body is a compact welded sheet-metal construction with a multiple-folded channel — it keeps water and dust out even when the door is open. The floor has a cable entry opening with blanking cover; inside, threaded studs hold the mounting plate.
Mounting plate & scope of delivery
Supplied with body, door, galvanised mounting plate and, depending on size, 1–2 blanking covers. The maximised door opening accepts a larger mounting plate than usual — more space for terminals and devices.
SWN IT: 12 U for network equipment
The SWN IT combines a mounting plate and two 19″ profile rails: 12 U usable height at 600 × 400 mm, solid sheet-steel or glass door. For indoor use without a roof (575 mm), for outdoor use with a weather protection roof (606 mm).
SWN Inox: stainless steel for outdoor & hygiene
Body, door, blanking cover and wall brackets made of stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) to EN 10088 — design and standard sizes table identical to the standard SWN. For corrosive atmospheres and hygiene areas; also as an IP65 alarm cabinet (e.g. tunnels). More on the stainless steel enclosures page.
Earthing, shielding & 19″ frame
Available separately: shielding rail, earthing bar and earthing cables, mounting brackets for wall mounting and a 19″ frame for retrofitting the rack level.
IP 65, UL and surface finish
IP 65 to EN 60529, UL certificate of conformity. Surface: epoxy-polyester powder coating in RAL 7035 with coarse texture; on request a special paint finish with increased weather resistance.

What is the difference between the SWN and the SWN Inox?
On the SWN Inox, the body, door, blanking cover and wall-mounting brackets are made of stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) to EN 10088 — design and standard sizes table are identical to the standard SWN. Details on the stainless steel enclosures page.
Is the SWN available with a 19-inch level?
Yes — the SWN IT: 12 U usable height at 600 × 400 mm, with mounting plate and two 19-inch profile rails, with a solid sheet-steel or glass door. For indoor use without a roof (575 mm high), for outdoor use with a weather protection roof (606 mm).
Are special sizes and outdoor use possible?
Special dimensions are a standard process on request. For outdoor use there is a paint finish with increased weather resistance or the stainless steel version SWN Inox; the standard version (RAL 7035, coarse texture) is intended for indoor rooms.
